Review: The Hollow

The Hollow The Hollow by Nora Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Second one down, one more to go.

I liked Fox, but really couldn't stand Layla. I don't relate well to 'wishy-washy, 'oh woe-is-me' but I'm a fierce kitten' type of heroines. And their romance left a lot to be desired - like, you know, the actual romance. BUT the magical aspects more than made up for it. And Cybil. Oh, Cybil, how I wish you weren't saddled with Gage.

Since the next book is theirs, and I really don't like Gage (yes, I know he was abused, but he's such a fucking dick because he lacks a personality), I might read some other things first before closing this trilogy out.

Review: Dirty Money

Dirty Money by Liliana Hart My rating: 5 of 5 stars This really wasn't long enough. The story stops at 88% for some reason, but fine. I'll accept that because it was awesome! The stakes were extremely high this time around after the cliffhanger in the last book. I'm happy that Jack and Jaye are evolving as a married couple while dealing with old ghosts. This book wrapped up a 4-book story arc, and while it feels like a good place to end, I hope that it doesn't. View all my reviews
