Always Watching by Chevy Stevens My rating: 1 of 5 stars I regret every minute of this. I really do. Boring, repetitive dialogue. A very dry expository first-person narrative that focused more on telling what happened than showing it. Stereotypical characters making asinine choices. A "heroine" that was equally unlikable and hard to root for; or even care about, honestly. This didn't work for me at all and I'm really surprised because this author's first book still haunts me years later. And at the center of this is a cult story. How is a cult story boring? A Study in Honor by Claire O'Dell My rating: 2 of 5 stars Somewhere along the way, this just stopped working for me. And by somewhere , I mean the beginning, because I don't see the point of having first-person journal entries when the book is a first-person narrative. Key of Light by Nora Roberts My rating: 4 of 5 stars Always a good time to be had in a NR book that features friendships and Celtic lore mysteries to be solved. And while Carter from The Bride Quartet series remains my one true love of NR love interests, Flynn Hennessy is right up there. Looking forward to the next two books in the trilogy.
