Review: P.S. I Loathe You

P.S. I Loathe You by Isla Olsen My rating: 4 of 5 stars Sweet, funny, hot. Everything i wanted. Watching them fall easily into a relationship and in love with each other was a treat. And, no third-act breakup! Love! View all my reviews

Review: Truly Madly Deeply

Truly Madly Deeply by L.J. Shen My rating: 4 of 5 stars Was this overly dramatic, sometimes cringey, with two emotionally challenged MCs? Yes, it's an LJ Shen book. Was I entertained and did I fall wildly in love with a grumpy cinnamon roll that loved one woman his entire life, even when she was annoying as fuck? Yes, it's an LJ Shen book. View all my reviews

Review: An Acquired Taste

An Acquired Taste by Kelly Cain My rating: 3 of 5 stars Highly enjoyable. My only gripe is that it doesn't have dual povs because I would love to be inside Knox's head during some of this. Rowan is great, even though she suffers from an extreme case of Oldest Daughter Syndrome that made her a tad bit hardheaded and annoying, but the girl has a backbone and determination. Review: The Pumpkin Spice Café

The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore My rating: 3 of 5 stars I'm all in with this nosy ass small town! A little repetitive but it made sense for these two lonely, overthinking characters. Third Act Breakups are the bane of my existence, and this one was forgiven too easily in my opinion, but I had fun here and that's really all I ask for. View all my reviews

Review: 40 and [No Longer] Fighting It

40 and [No Longer] Fighting It by Ella Sheridan My rating: 4 of 5 stars Exactly what I needed: low-angst, sweet, and hot with mature MCs. Both age-wise and emotionally. Truly refreshing to read 40 and 50 year olds that don't act like teenagers. ☺️ View all my reviews

Masters of Death by Olivie Blake My rating: 3 of 5 stars Quite possibly the most charming group of assholes I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Way more repetitive than I usually like, but I was entertained and that's all I ask for. View all my reviews

Review: Apprentice to the Villain

Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer My rating: 3 of 5 stars Enjoyable, but not as much as the first one. This one felt like it tried too hard to be whimsical instead of just incorporating fantasy elements and...a plot. I'm here until the end though. Especially for Trystan. View all my reviews

The Cat of Amontillado by S.M. Reine My rating: 5 of 5 stars This is my first paranormal cozy, but not my last. It's a short, funny story about a curious kitten getting up to all kinds of hijinks in a neighborhood full of other paranormals. Enjoyable. I'm a fan. View all my reviews

Review: This Vicious Grace

This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede My rating: 4 of 5 stars "We have a bad habit of locking up people who scare us, and the thing that scares me with power the most is a woman with more of it." This was a very charming high fantasy romance between a lonely young woman destined to save her people and the grumpy yet noble man she hires to be her bodyguard. Heavy on the romance more than the fantasy aspect, which was fine with me because it plays in the plot well. Alessa was the kind of heroine I enjoy. Shit got rough, but she kept going. Her brain was her most powerful weapon. Dante, oh, Dante...perfection. I'll check out the next novel since I had a good time. View all my reviews

Review: What Was Meant to Be

What Was Meant to Be by Heather Guerre My rating: 4 of 5 stars I'm a complete sucker for MoCs where the dude is a jackass and brought low by his foolishness and has to grovel and/or atone for his transgressions. The groveling man also being a sexual submissive??? *chef's kiss* View all my reviews
