Always Watching by Chevy Stevens My rating: 1 of 5 stars I regret every minute of this. I really do. Boring, repetitive dialogue. A very dry expository first-person narrative that focused more on telling what happened than showing it. Stereotypical characters making asinine choices. A "heroine" that was equally unlikable and hard to root for; or even care about, honestly. This didn't work for me at all and I'm really surprised because this author's first book still haunts me years later. And at the center of this is a cult story. How is a cult story boring?
